London Symphony Orchestra amazes Hanoians in outdoor concert

Thousands of people gather at Ly Thai To Statue Garden, next to the Sword Lake in the capital city of Hanoi, to admire performances of the London Symphony Orchestra at Vietnam Airlines-Hanoi Concert 2017 held last week. The organizers set up three giant LED screens at Dinh Tien Hoang Street and Dong Kinh Square to serve the audience. During the 105-minute program, 98 artists from around the world showed off their great music talent and enthusiasm. Especially, the crowd ran into great excitement and admiration when listening to the National Anthem of Vietnam performed with a special mixing style. Other masterpieces of the show included “Festive Overture” by D.Shostakovich, “Four seasons” by Benjamin Britten, and Symphony No. 2 by Rachmaninov. The program was under the baton of young German conductor Niklas Benjamin Hoffmann. The one-night concert, which was jointly held by the national flag air carrier Vietnam Airlines and the Hanoi People’s Committee, was part of the Asian tour of the London Symphony Orchestra.
