France holds conference on luxury foods

Commanderie des vins de Bordeaux which is made up of both wine enthusiasts and professionals from the wine trade in HCMC, last week hosted a conference on luxury food of France and a dinner buffet at the French consulate general in HCMC.
The conference which was monitored by Vincent Marcilhac, who has a Ph.D. degree on luxury food and geography, provided helpful information about the gastronomy culture and the cooking art to participants. Marcilhac is also president of the Geofood Association and professor at the University of Cergy-Pontoise which has a joint education program for culinary and hotel management faculty of the University of Technology (Hutech).
On the occasion, the Commanderie des vins de Bordeaux announced its first anniversary which would take place on May 18 and a series of monthly events on wine dinner with specific themes.
