Bridgestone donates 100 dustbins to HCMC

Japanese tire producer Bridgestone Vietnam last Sunday held a ceremony to hand over the first 30 trash bins out of 100 to the HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment, as part of a campaign “Together with Bridgestone in response to Earth Day 2017”.

According to Bridgestone Vietnam, 30 smart garbage bins have been installed on a pilot basis at Nguyen Hue pedestrian square in HCMC's District 1 to help classify wastes, and stunningly, purify water.

The remaining trash bins are expected to be installed in other districts of the city by the end of this month.

Duong An Giang, general senior manager of Bridgestone Vietnam, told the ceremony that through this donation the company wants to call for young people and local residents to join hands with Bridgestone to protect the environment.

Bridgestone expected these smart trash bins will make great contributions to raising public awareness of environmental protection.
