Hoang Phong

Local and international artists will gather at a chamber music concert held by the HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) at the Opera House in District 1 on May 28.

The concert themed “The Art of Chamber Music” will feature invited guests including Korean pianist Joo Sun Young, Japanese harp artist Nana Kinemura, and Japanese talented flute artist Kaoru Kamiishi.

In addition, the event will have the presence of the best artists of HBSO like Meritorious Artist Nguyen Tan Anh (cellist), Tang Thanh Nam (violinist), Dao Nhat Quang (clarinet player), Pham Vu Thien Bao (viola artist), and Nguyen Truc Thuyen (violinist). These artists were trained at the world’s largest music centers and invited to many international festivals.

HBSO has chosen famous pieces requiring fewer instruments but more emotion, composed by musicians of the Romantic period, including Bizet, Shostakovichovsky, Lizst, and Rachmaninov. Besides, the audience will have a chance to enjoy exceptional pieces of two contemporary music composers from Japan: K. Hirao and Shin – Ichiro Ikebe.

Tickets are priced at VND550,000, VND400,000, VND350,000 and VND200,000. Students pay only VND80,000.
