The competition which is scheduled to take place from June 9-11 is open to young filmmakers and those having passion for film and the arts.

Besides, Phan Gia Nhat Linh, director of the movie “Em la ba noi cua anh” (Sweet 20), film producer/ cinematographer Bao Nguyen and filmmaker Jenni Trang Le will join the judging panel of the contest.

Originally founded in the U.S. in 2001, the 48 Hour Film Project is the largest time-based film making competition in the world as it has attracted contestants from over 130 cities in six continents. More than 1,600 young producers have turned out over 350 short films for the contest in Vietnam since 2010.

After two years of interruption due to financial difficulties, this year’s contest is expected to give an opportunity to participants to show their talent and passion for movie-making.
