The third Vietnam Junior Fashion Week (VJFW) for kids aged between 3 and 14 will take place at the Gamuda Gardens urban area in the capital city of Hanoi for the first time from June 16 to 18, following the success of two previous seasons held in HCMC.

Initiated by local veteran model/host Xuan Lan, the three-day program is aimed at creating a healthy playground for young kids to show their passion for art and promoting the local children’s fashion industry. In addition, this is also a good chance for Vietnamese fashion designers to introduce their collections to local and foreign audiences.

This year’s fashion week will showcase new summer creations by nine leading designers and brands to audiences, including “12 zodiac signs” by Phuong Nguyen Silk, the “No 2 – Dreaming” by Thao Nguyen, “Summer Fun” by Rue Des Chat, “The Summer Fairy” by Nguyen Lan Chi, “Dream Girl” by Tran Thanh Man, “Summer bright sun” by Rabity, “Kendo” by Kelly Bui, “The shapes of flowers” by Le Chau Kha and a special collection by famous designer Do Manh Cuong.

At the opening ceremony of the fashion week, junior singer Vo Khanh Ngoc and the duo Tim and Truong Quynh Anh will jointly perform the song “Cho con tuoi tho” (Giving me a good childhood), the theme song of a special campaign “Dung im lang - Chung con can duoc bao ve” (Don’t be silent - Children need protection) as part of the fashion week.

Earlier, many popular local artists including Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, dancer Linh Nga, MC Tran Thanh and singers Ngo Kien Huy, Hoang Bach, Quoc Thien, Thanh Duy and Ai Phuong have joined hands to record the theme song composed by musician Phuong Uyen in an effort to provoke the community’s awareness on protecting children from sexual abuse and violence and convey the meaningful message to local community and parents.

The music video (MV) “Cho con tuoi tho” released on June 5 on the official fanpage of Vietnam Junior Fashion Week 2017 is drawing huge public attention.

The event is expected to attract the participation of more than 400 kids as models. Lan said she has spent much time, money, effort and devotion for Vietnam Junior Fashion Week with a hope to build a prestigious environment for training skills and building confidence for junior models on the professional catwalk.
