HCMC – The first 7-Eleven convenience store in Vietnam was opened on June 15 at the Saigon Trade Center building in District 1, HCMC.

The store sells a wide range of Vietnamese food, including world-known banh mi thit (Vietnamese sandwich with cold cuts).

Seven System Vietnam, the master franchisee of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain in Vietnam, plans to open 20 stores nationwide this year and increase the figure to 100 in the next three years. Now Vietnam is the 19th country where 7-Eleven is present.

Here in the Vietnamese market, the company plans to offer more than 100 local dishes in the store chain, with over 20 dishes made ready a day.

In addition, the store stocks imported food such as 7-Select high-quality products from Japan and Slurpee soft drinks. 7-Eleven also offers 7REWARDS mobile app, free wifi and ATM services.

There are more than 62,000 7-Eleven convenience stores worldwide serving over 55 million customers a day.

Analysts said 7‑Eleven will have to compete with existing rivals in the country such as Shop&Go, Circle K, B’s Mart, FamilyMart and MiniStop.
