Vietnam Heritage magazine of the Vietnam Association of Cultural Heritage is joining hands with Canon Marketing Vietnam to host the 6th Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards contest, the Vietnam News Agency reports.

Vietnamese citizens and foreigners are eligible to participate in the competition by submitting single photos or photo collections featuring Vietnam’s nature, tangible and intangible culture, and life. Especially, the organizers look forward to receiving entries reflecting the special traits of market life in the country.

Launched in 2012, the annual competition is aimed at introducing the best images of Vietnam to international friends and raising public awareness of heritage conservation.

Vietnamese photographer Hoang Trung Thuy will serve as head of the judging panel. In addition, Doan Thi Tho, a member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Federation of International Art Photography (FIAP), and Nguyen Quoc Hung, deputy director of HCMC Television Film Studios –TFS are also on the panel of judges, according to information on the magazine’s website at www.vietnamheritage.com.vn.

Entries should be sent to cuocthianhdisanvietnam@gmail.com by September 15. An award ceremony is expected to take place in late November.

The best 100 photos will be selected for online exhibition and introduced to local and international tourists in HCMC, Danang and Hanoi, which are major travel destinations in the country.

Vietjet accompanies the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards as a transportation sponsor.

Vietjet hopes to introduce Vietnam’s traditional and cultural values to the awards participants, visitors, youth and international friends.

The airline will also offer domestic and international tourists free air tickets, interesting gifts when they join the contest.
