Nobel-winning professor to meet with Vietnamese students

Professor Gerard 't Hooft with a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1999 will have a talk with Vietnamese students at the HCMC University of Science and Technology at 3 p.m. this Saturday.

Organized by the Vietnam National University HCMC in partnership with the Meeting Vietnam Science Association and the university, the talk focuses on the laws of nature.

Born in 1946 in the Netherlands, the professor serves as a theoretical physicist and professor at Utrecht University.

He has received the Wolf Prize, known as a prestigious prize in Physics following the Nobel Prize and excellently won Lorentz Medal, awarded every four years by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in recognition of significant contributions in theoretical physics.

The university is located at 268 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, District 10, HCMC.
