FrieslandCampina Vietnam, better known for its Dutch Lady brand, donated 12,000 milk  glasses to the HCMC Red Cross Society for a charity walk to support Agent Orange victims and people with disabilities

The fund-raising walk took place last week at Dam Sen Cultural Park in HCMC’s District 11 on the occasion of the Day for Agent Orange Victims (August 10).

Since 2012, FrieslandCampina Vietnam has joined forces with the Red Cross Society in many charity activities to show its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Last month, the dairy firm provided nearly 200 milk boxes for the Hanoi Red Cross Society in a program honoring heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiary families and underprivileged people. The program marked the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Earlier this year, FrieslandCampina handed over VND600 million to the “Lunar New Year 2017 (Tet) with poor people and Agent Orange/dioxin victims” program initiated by the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

Furthermore, over the past five years, the company has  donated more than VND3 billion to the cow bank project founded by the Vietnam Red Cross Society to help poverty-stricken farming households and boost rural economic development.

Speaking at the charity walk, Doan Minh Bang, a 19-year-old member of Hoa Binh (Peace) Village from HCMC’s Tu Du Obstetric Hospital, thanked the HCMC Red Cross and donors on behalf of children at the village.
