Australia launches aid program in Vietnam

The Australian Consulate General in HCMC has started receiving applications for the Australian government’s Direct Aid Program (DAP) grant round 2017-2018 for projects in central and southern localities from Danang to Ca Mau.

The grant worth up to AU$20,000 (US$15,000) is available for projects of non-governmental organizations (NGO), community groups and other not-for-profit entities to undertake small-scale development projects with a focus on the economic empowerment of disadvantaged communities and groups.

The deadline for online applications is September 4, the consulate general said in a statement.
