The British Council last Saturday joined forces with the United Kingdom Alumni Vietnam (UKAV) to organize a Connect the Dots Career Fair in Hanoi.

The organizer said in a statement that the event was attended by more than 30 companies including VPBank, Unilever, Standard Chartered Bank, FPT, Vingroup, Vietnam Airlines, First Alliances, Navigos, Vietjet Air, and National Citizen Bank (NCB) offering hundreds of job vacancies.

Connect the Dots also gave updates on the latest labor market trends in Vietnam. Fairgoers could also ask leading employers about the challenges which foreign-educated students might face in the Vietnamese labor market while local and foreign conpanies could look for candidates.

Launched in 2013, the fair was an opportunity for jobseekers, especially fresh graduates, to meet with human resource specialists and leading employers, and discuss career options with professionals.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, the British Council last Friday also held a conference on internationalization  of Vietamese higher education with a vision towards 2025 at the HCMC University of Economics.

At the conference, the ministry together with specialists from the U.K and leading educators from local universities discussed initiatives on the drafting of the Internationalization of Higher Education Strategies (IHES) program in the 2017-2025 period to promote the regional and global integration of Vietnam’s higher education.

The British Council is the U.K.’s international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations.
