Oktoberfest Vietnam 2017 set to come back in town next month

Kai Speth, vice president for operations and business performance of WMC Group, speaks at a press conference to introduce the upcoming Oktoberfest Vietnam 2017

Following the success of Oktoberfest Vietnam in previous years, the Windsor Plaza Hotel in District 5, HCMC will host this renowned German beer festival this year from October 4 to 7 and from October 11 to 14 from 6 p.m. till midnight.

Originated from a celebration of the marriage of Crown King Ludwig and Queen Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen in the Bavarian city of Munich, Germany in 1810, Oktoberfest Vietnam has become an annual cultural event to promote German culture to Vietnamese people and the entire foreign community in Vietnam.

Visitors to the Oktoberfest in HCMC can experience the authentic atmosphere of the original event in Munich in a large ballroom as well as savor a sumptuous buffet of traditional German specialties including sausages, sauerkraut, crispy pork knuckles and pretzels and a free flow of imported German beer.

Kai Speth, vice president for operations and business performance of WMC Group, told a press conference last week that one of the highlights of this year’s event is the presence of Partenkirchner Musikanten, a traditional Oktoberfest band from Germany which has staged numerous concerts around the world.

Oktoberfest Vietnam has been recognized by Reuters as one of the Top 10 Oktoberfest celebrations outside Germany.

Tickets are priced at VND1.2 million net for the night of Wednesday and Thursday, and VND1.4 million net on Friday and Saturday. On this occasion, early bookings before September 30 will be entitled to a discount of up to 30%. The event will take place at level 7 of the Windsor Plaza Hotel at 18 An Duong Vuong Street, District 7, HCMC.
