HCMC – The 17th Vietnam International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (VietnamPlas 2017) opened on September 13 as a venue of convergence for hundreds of firms from around the world, offering plentiful opportunities for local firms wanting to upgrade technology and for foreign manufacturers seeking to sell products and services to Vietnam.

The event at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in HCMC features 720 booths of more than 420 enterprises from 20 countries and territories including Vietnam, Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Turkey, the U.S., Taiwan, China, Slovenia, Singapore and Spain.
According to the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (VINEXAD) and Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service Co Ltd, which are organizing the exhibition, the event this year is 60% bigger in size than last year’s event.

DIPO, Khang Hoa, Manh Dung, Hemingstone, Cosmo, Chyi Tang and Chao Wei corporations are showcasing a variety of plastics and rubber machines including large blow molding and injection molding machines, inflators and recycling machines, and the latest services and techniques in the sector.

The event also includes famous brands in recycling machinery and materials such as Polystar, Iber Resinas, S.L, Chyi Yang, Gianeco S.R.L, Svitplast D.O.O, Plast Extrusions PVT, Genox and TM RecyCling GMBH.
In developed countries, plastic recycling is becoming more popular as it helps reduce 15% of production costs. Analysts said recycling would become a new trend for plastic manufacturers.

Other companies such as SPI International, Proprietary Amir Kabir petrochemical, Brenntag, Waps, Super and Asia Cho Yang also introduce numerous resin and chemical plastic materials at the event. Such products will help meet the demand of Vietnamese plastic manufacturers which now depend on raw material imports from other countries.

According to the organizers, VietnamPlas 2017 helps enterprises access new products, services and machines in the world. The visitors can directly meet leading experts and suppliers in the sector at the exhibition lasting until September 16.
