Heineken Vietnam initiates “Drink Don’t Drive” program

In response to the Traffic Safety Year of 2017, Heineken Vietnam Brewery Limited Company (Heineken Vietnam Brewery) has launched the “Drink Don’t Drive” program in partnership with the National Traffic Safety Committee and Uber Vietnam, a major ride-hailing firm active in the country.

Since 2008, the company has joined forces with the committee to carry out media campaigns in an effort to raise public awareness of traffic safety among users of beer and other alcoholic drinks.

This year, the company has spent around VND15 billion to implement the “Drink Don’t Drive” program which is expected to provide practical solutions for consumers, including offering 80,000 free Uber codes for customers in HCMC, Hanoi and Danang, plus 50,000 free taxi vouchers in five cities such as Nha Trang, Haiphong, Vung Tau, Bien Hoa and Can Tho to take customers home safely after drinking beer and alcohols.

The program shows Heineken Vietnam’s long-term commitment to promoting responsible drinking in the community as part of the “Enjoy Heineken Responsibly” global campaign of Heineken.
