Toyota Vietnam Foundation grants scholarships in Daklak

Hung Le

The Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF) in cooperation with the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) late last week organized a ceremony to award “Arm Caring” scholarships with a total value of VND405 million to nine children of traffic accident victims in the Central Highlands province of Daklak.

With a desire to join hands with society to relief pain and losses caused by traffic accidents to victims’ families, especially for their children, TVF in cooperation with NTSC has implemented the “Arm Caring” Scholarship Program since 2017.

Daklak is the second selected province for this program due to a high ratio of deaths and accident cases in the Central Highlands.

At the ceremony, TVF granted nine “Arm Caring” scholarships worth VND45 million each to children to help them overcome difficulties in life and have a chance to continue schooling.

Do Thu Hoang, chairman of TVF and vice president of Toyota Motor Vietnam, said in a statement that the program is expected to raise awareness of traffic safety and contribute to building a more civilized transportation culture for a safer and happier Vietnam.
