Japanese Film Festival to hit national screens

Japanese movie enthusiasts will have a chance to watch films and explore the culture and lifestyle of Japanese people at the Japanese film festival which is scheduled to take place from October 27 to January 14 in Hanoi, HCMC and Danang, the Government news website reports. 

Organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, this year’s festival will feature 11 movies in various genres including psychology, family and documentary.

The films produced from 2015 till now include An, Tsukiji Wonderland, Her Love Boils Bathwater, Long Excuse, Rudolf the Black Cat, Tora-san of Goto Island, ReLIFE, Survival Family, and Honnouji Hotel among others.
All films will be screened in English with Vietnamese subtitle.

The Japanese film festival is one of the most highlighted cultural events dedicated to Vietnamese audiences with their love and passion for Japanese movies.

The films will be shown at the National Cinema Center, 87 Lang Ha Street, Hanoi from October 27 to November 11. In HCMC, screenings will take place at Cinestar Hai Ba Trung, 135 Hai Ba Trung Street, District 1 from November 24 to December while movie lovers in Danang City can go to Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau District to watch the films on December 5 and 7, and January 7, 13 and 14 next year.
