French wine tasting event set for Friday

Wine enthusiasts should head for a French wine tasting event at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza in downtown HCMC this Friday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

As part of the French Month in Vietnam, the event is aimed to bring French gastronomy closer to the Vietnamese.
Organized by Business France Vietnam under the patronage of the French Embassy in Vietnam and the French Consulate General in HCMC, it serves as an opportunity for more than 200 wine professionals in Vietnam to taste wines from Crus Bourgeois du Médoc, the renowned wine region in France, and to sound out business opportunities.

According to Business France Vietnam, Vietnam has emerged as one of the most dynamic wine and spirits markets in Asia. Meanwhile, France is the leading wine exporter to Vietnam thanks to the high quality and the reputation of its products.

On the occasion, winemakers from Crus Bourgeois will be present for the first time in Vietnam to introduce its signature wines to domestic wine connoisseurs.

Business France is the French government’s national agency responsible for supporting the international development of the French economy, fostering export growth by French businesses and facilitating international investment in France.

Sofitel Plaza Saigon is located at 17 Le Duan Boulevard, District 1, HCMC.

For further information about the event, contact Ms. Thanh Oanh Ton Thien (French, English and Vietnamese) on 02835206890 or email to thanhoanh.tonthien@businessfrance.fr.
