Textile, garment expos attract 400 firms

HCMC - The 17th edition of Vietnam International Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition and Vietnam International Textile & Apparel Accessories Exhibition, or VTG 2017, is slated for November 22 to 25 in HCMC with the participation of 400 exhibitors from 14 countries and territories.

Participating enterprises from China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Vietnam will showcase their latest machines and solutions in the textile and garment sector.

On display will be sewing, textile screen printing, high-caliber embroidery and fabric dyeing machines, cutting room, auto-sewing, industrial laundry, anti-wrinkle pressing and ironing equipment, chemical dipping and curing ovens among others.

The event will also include seminars with the participation of speakers from the Export-Import Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Association of Vietnam Cotton & Spinning Association, and the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association. Topics to be addressed include the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, opportunities from free trade agreements, and how to keep staying ahead in the market.

The expos are being jointly held by the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (Vinexad) and Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service Co Ltd and co-organized by Guangdong Sewing Equipment Chamber Commerce, Hong Kong Apparel Machinery Association, and Paper Communication Exhibition Services at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7.

As a major driver of Vietnam’s garment industry growth, VTG has been recognized by many popular international brands as a useful way for tapping into the booming Vietnamese market.
