The British Council Vietnam is calling for applications from Vietnamese students for the 2018 British Council IELTS Prize.

Vietnamese students who demonstrate their plans to pursue undergraduate or graduate programs locally or overseas during the 2018 academic year and hold a minimum band score of six in each of the four component parts of an IELTS test taken with British Council from April this year onwards are eligible to register for the scholarship program.

Three scholarships totaling around VND60 million each are made available to Vietnamese students. The application deadline is April 30, 2018.

Launched in 2011 by the British Council, the annual prize honors high-caliber individuals in East Asian countries, including Vietnam, who show off the potential to contribute to society what they have gained from their undergraduate/postgraduate study experience locally or overseas.

The prize enables students to take any chosen course in an undergraduate or postgraduate program of a higher institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admission requirements.

Previously, three Vietnamese students – Nguyen Lam Phuc Doan, Phan Thi Hoang Yen and Ho Kim Hoa – bagged the 2017 British Council IELTS Prize worth VND62.2 million (US$2,736) each to pursue their dreams of studying overseas.
