HCMC – PwC Vietnam and the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT) on January 10 signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation in cyber security incident responses and rescues from 2018 to 2020.

The two sides will work together to strengthen the national cyber security response network, provide businesses and organizations in Vietnam with cyber incident response training and solutions, build comprehensive cyber security strategies, develop the cyber security service market, and share information about new cyber threats.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Hanoi, VNCERT director Nguyen Trong Duong said incident response plays a vital role in ensuring cyber security and requires close cooperation between organizations and businesses.

“As the national dispatch center, VNCERT is asking for the participation of organizations and businesses nationwide in developing the national cyber security incident response network. And the cooperation with PwC Vietnam is the first step for VNCERT to realize the plan,” Duong said.

Robert Trong Tran, director of Cyber Security and Privacy Services at PwC Vietnam, said with international experience and deep understanding of the Vietnam market, PwC will support local enterprises in dealing with cyber security incidents in a professional, timely and effective manner and in line with international practices.

PwC Vietnam will cooperate with VNCERT in organizing training courses at regional, national and international levels, carrying out cyber security awareness programs, standardizing incident response and crisis management activities, and developing cyber security services and products.

The two sides will also share cyber threat intelligence, write professional and standardized instructions for cyber security incident response, design cyber security strategies with clear and actionable management information, and evaluate the performance of members of cyber security incident response teams.

Dinh Thi Quynh Van, general director of PwC Vietnam, said PwC is one of the leading cyber security service firms that can provide a full suite of integrated cyber risk services. It has a powerful global presence with thousands of clients across the globe.

PwC was named a leader in Forrester Research’s Independent Digital Forensics and Incident Response Service Providers Report Q3 2017 and in the ALM Vanguard for Cyber Security Consulting 2017.
