As one of the annual activities of the Indian community in Vietnam, the Holy Festival will be held at the Indian Cultural Center in Hanoi City’s Hoan Kiem District at 4 p.m. on March 30, according to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam.

The festival is an ancient religious spring festival celebrated by Hindus highlighting the triumph of good over evil. Last year’s event attracted more than 1,000 visitors, including Indian and Vietnamese and foreign tourists, to share the joyful spirit of the event and join exciting activities of throwing colorful powders, savoring food and enjoying music.

This year’s celebration will start with the Indian traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a host of cultural and entertainment activities including an Indian-style food corner, dance performance and art programs to make a day of happiness for participants.

The festival would be an opportunity to spur cultural exchanges and further invigorate the growing ties between Vietnam and India.

Admission is free for the event. Those interested can contact the organizer via phone at 024 3633 2083 or email at culture@indembassy.com.vn.
