HCMC - A summer program for students and parents, called “Traditional Culture Through the Lenses of Virtual Reality Technology,” was held at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi on July 8.

The event offered participants an opportunity to explore the diverse cultures of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam through the exhibits and virtual reality glasses.

Students from third to ninth grades had a chance to make virtual reality glasses with professional instructions and test their products.

In addition, participating parents took part in a workshop on “Helping Children Create a Study Plan” which featured talks by nearly 20 experts and experienced teachers from primary and high schools in Hanoi such as Pham Thi Thuy Ngoc, vice principal of Trung Tu High School, Hong Tri Quang, former maths teacher at the High School of Education and Sciences, and Nguyen Thi Mai Quynh, maths teacher at Hanoi High School.

During the workshop, parents and experts discussed the psychology of children aged between 9 and 15 and how to be the children’s close friends as well as measures to encourage their children to study.

The teachers also gave the parents advice on how to help their children study smarter but not harder and get good results in important exams.

“Traditional Culture Through the Lenses of Virtual Reality Technology” was jointly held by HOCMAI education system and the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. The program attracted more than 700 parents and students, according to Nhan Dan online newspaper.
