HCMC – An Binh Commercial Bank (ABBank) on Wednesday inaugurated a support center for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at the bank’s Ben Thanh transaction office in the Green Tower building in HCMC’s District 1.
The center provides special consulting and banking services for small and medium enterprises such as trade finance and international payment. Besides, to solve enterprises’ difficulty in lacking mortgage, the bank also gives unsecured loans for those enterprises having inked business contracts with any among 200 big companies designated by the bank.
Small and medium enterprises now account for one-third of the bank’s total number of corporate customers. Pham Quoc Thanh, deputy general director of the bank, said the bank would set up similar centers in other provinces to effectively access small and medium enterprises, the target customers of the bank.
The VND3.48-trillion lender now has 102 banking units nationwide. In the first six months this year, the bank obtained VND426.7 billion in pre-tax profit, increasing 102% year-on-year.
