By Dinh Dung - The Saigon Times Daily

HCMC – The transfer of the solar panel production project’s premises of U.S. firm First Solar in HCMC’s outlying district of Cu Chi may be completed early next year as the property has received the attention of several investors.

A representative of Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam said that premises of the US$1.2-billion project in Dong Nam Industrial Park have been offered for sale to investors over the past few months. In addition to local investors, foreign firms are also eyeing the 13,000-square-meter plant.

Facilities of the plant offered for sale include production and office areas. The selling price has not been revealed as the transfer is under negotiation.

First Solar last year started work on the photovoltaic solar panel plant but eight months later, the group halted the project and asked Cushman & Wakefield to help sell the facilities.
