Vietnam Airlines adjusts flight schedules to Hue
Jetstar Pacific flies to Buon Ma Thuot

HCMC – Vietnam Airlines will increase the number of flights from Hanoi and HCMC to Danang during the period when Phu Bai International Airport in Hue City is closed for runway repair on March 20-November 20.
On March 20-30, the frequency of Hanoi-Danang flights will be increased by seven per day while there will be nine more HCMC-Danang flights each day.
Meanwhile, from March 31 until Phu Bai International Airport is reopened, the number of Hanoi-Danang and HCMC-Danang flights will be increased by 1-2 flights per day.
During the closing period of Phu Bai airport, passengers wanting to travel to Hue City need to fly to Danang and then take a bus to Hue.
Besides, any passengers who have bought air tickets flying to or departing from Hue can change their flights which fly to or depart from Danang with no taxes and fees charged.
In case passengers wanting to have the tickets refunded, they will also not be charged. Meanwhile, those wanting to change their flights to or from other airports, not Danang International Airport, will have to pay the fare differences and other surcharges if any.
* Jetstar Pacific Airlines on March 26 will open two domestic routes connecting Buon Ma Thuot in Daklak Province with Vinh in Nghe An Province and HCMC, using 180-seat Airbus A320 planes
The HCMC-Buon Ma Thuot air route will have five weekly flights, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The route between Buon Ma Thuot and Vinh will operate three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, according to Jetstar Pacific.
The HCMC-Buon Ma Thuot flight time is 50 minutes, while it takes one hour and 25 minutes to fly between Buon Ma Thuot and Vinh.
Earlier, Vo Huy Cuong, deputy head of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV), told the Daily that after Air Mekong had stopped conducting flights on the routes Buon Ma Thuot-Vinh and Buon Ma Thuot-HCMC on March 1, Jetstar Pacific was granted the right to operate on these routes.
In addition, Vietnam Air Services Co. (VASCO) has made plans to increase the service capacity of the HCMC-Con Dao direct route and Vietnam Airlines has conducted direct flights between Hanoi and Phu Quoc. These are the routes operated by Air Mekong before March 1.
