HCMC - A trade delegation of businesses from Northern Ireland will visit HCMC March 10-12 to establish relationships with Vietnamese companies, says the British Consulate General in HCMC.
The visit comes at a time when UK exports to Vietnam are showing a healthy year-on-year growth of 25% and bilateral trade has topped the US$2 billion mark. The delegation of companies is led by Claire Gadd, mission manager of Invest Northern Ireland.
“Despite the current economic challenges, Vietnam was able to maintain a growth rate of 5.32% last year. We believe Vietnam’s growth is sustainable and there are tremendous opportunities for UK companies in Vietnam,” Gadd said in a statement. “Our mission members are looking forward to establishing long-term business relationships with local companies for their mutual benefits.”
The mission members include representatives from healthcare, agri-technology, environmental and textile products companies.
