City names top tourism brands for tourists

HCMC- The city’s tourism department organized a function on Thursday night in the Opera House to name the best tourism brands in HCMC for international tourists, and the top 100 best brands for local visitors.
The program dubbed HCMC – One Hundred Excitements is organized by the city government and its tourism department with an aim to develop tourism products in the city and promote the city’s image to tourists. The selection committee picked the best brands via a poll among tourists.
Almost all winners in the catalogues of boutique services, shopping places, coffee shops and restaurants for foreigners are located districts 1 and 3 while almost all Vietnamese must-state are favorite dishes of Southern people.
In the catalog of prominent cultural, sports and tourism events, the yearly International Travel Expo or ITE has been surprisingly selected as one of the ten best brands for international visitors because the event is staged for local and foreign tourism entrepreneurs to promote their products, services and find partners. The three-day travel expo offers the time for public viewing but almost all visitors are locals.
Along with the program to honor winners, the tourism department is also carrying out activities to promote such brands to tourists especially to international visitors via international travel fairs as well as Vietnamese embassies in foreign countries.
