HANOI – Over 5,400 administrative procedures will be reviewed and amended this year to comply with the reforms stipulated in National Project 30, the Prime Minister’s task force said.
Relevant ministries and local authorities are expected to send the results of the review to the team by the end of this month.
The review aims to simplify existing administrative procedures to ensure a 30% cost reduction for both residents and enterprises.
Last year, the team reviewed and amended 256 procedures at 18 ministries and 6 localities. All findings were submitted to the government.
“Simplification of these procedures is expected to save over VND6 trillion each year,” said Nguyen Xuan Phuc, chairman of the Government Office.
The Ministry of Finance accounted for one third of this figure, as they compile tax and customs papers that affect more than 300,000 enterprises.
Once passed, the changes are expected to save the financial industry at least VND2.1 trillion each year.
