Mid-Autumn Festival Exhibition opens in Hanoi

The 2009 Mid-Autumn Festival Exhibition and Fair opened at the Vietnam Cultural Art Exhibition Centre in Hanoi, aiming at creating a healthy and attractive playground for children during the up-coming festival this weekend.
The event includes an exhibition called ‘Our Uncle Ho’ that displays four main items: Uncle Ho with children, Uncle Ho’s feelings for children, the endless love of children for Uncle Ho and Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers carrying out Uncle Ho’s testement. Children have the chance to review nearly 100 of his documents and images, and his testement, to recall Uncle Ho’s valuable teachings.
The fair is a place for local enterprises and artisans to sell toys, school supplies and souvenirs for children. In addition, there are contests, traditional games, lion and dragon dances, and a Mid-Autumn festive night and Mid Autumn banquet during the fair.
The event runs until Saturday.
