“Movies for All”, a charity program to provide free movie screenings for poor people across the country is being launched by Megastar, Saigon Movies Media, Cinebox 212 and Hanoi Cinema.

On July 23 and 24, “Avatar” was shown to residents of Can Gio and Hoc Mon districts in HCMC, the first in a series of free screenings around the country till the end of the year.

Free screenings of “Toy Story 3” for poor kids have been in HCMC since June at Megastar and Cinebox cinemas and will come to cinemas in Hanoi in August. For Mid-Autumn festival, Megastar cinemas nationwide will have free shows for poor children.  In addition, there is a free screening program for elementary and high school students who performed well in the 2009-2010 academic year, encouraging them to keep up their good work.
