The Last Song
The Last Song, a coming of age drama based on the Nicholas Sparks novel by the same name, explores the power of different types of love.
The story is set in a coastal town on Tybee Island, Georgia in the U.S. Seventeen-year-old Ronnie Miller (Miley Cyrus) and her younger brother Jonah (Bobby Coleman) leave New York to spend the summer holidays with their father Steve Miller (Greg Kinnear) who had left the family when they were kids.
Ronnie has been angry and alienated from everybody since her parents got divorced. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, tries to get closer to his daughter through the love of music that they both share.
Ronnie meets Will (Liam Hemsworth) and falls in love with him - changing her life. She begins to open her heart to everything around her and relive her passion for music that she had abandoned.
The tale that unfolds is an
unforgettable story about love in its myriad forms - first love, the love between parents and children - that demonstrates the many ways that deeply felt relationships can break our hearts and heal them.
The film, directed by Julie Anne Robinson, debuts Friday in Vietnam at MegaStar cinemas around the country and in Galaxy, Lotte, Thang Long and Dong Da cinemas around town.
