Valentine’s Day” directed by Gary Marshall is a prism into the animated love of several couples in Los Angeles.
That’s Reed (Ashton Kutcher), owner of a flower shop who is going to propose to his beautiful girlfriend Morely (Jessica Alba). At the same time, Reed is confused to know his best friend Julia (Jenifer Garner) is having an affair with a married man (Patrick Dempsey). Julia’s mom Estelle (Shirley MacLaine) is on the edge of destroying her peaceful life to tell her husband about a past affair.
That’s Liz (Anne Hathaway), who is in a blossoming love with Jason (Topher Grace), no matter their social ranks are different. Kara (Jessica Biel) is likely the only person who hates Valentine’s Day because no one takes her out. But one day she falls in love with Kevin (Jamie Foxx), her strict boss.
That’s Kate (Julia Roberts), a middle-age woman who meets a young guy named Holden (Bradley Cooper) on a flight.
Each story, each couple, each detail looks like a color beautifying a romantic painting of Valentine’s Day. Through the film, filmmakers would like to send the message that love has always existed and not to be glacial to love because of narrow thinking.
The film debuts on Friday in Vietnam and will be screened at Cinebox and Galaxy cinemas.
