National Geographic makes film about Vietnam’s largest cave

A film troupe from the National Geographic Society will come to Vietnam on Thursday to make a documentary film on Son Doong Cave, known as the largest cave in the world, located in the central province of Quang Binh in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, reports Lao Dong.

According to Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage Site management, a group of British explorers led by the world famous spelunker (cave explorer) of the British Royal Cave Society, Howard Limbirt, will join this 20-day journey.Vị trí đặt quảng cáo

The film troupe will also include geologists from the Hanoi University of Natural Sciences to help identify the parameters of the cave and to discover new caves.

The documentary which focuses on Son Doong Cave and the biodiversity of Phong Nha - Ke Bang will be broadcast in over 100 countries.

The Son Doong cave is 200 meters in width and 150 meters at its highest point.
