“Choi voi” pockets prize in Central Russia
The Vietnamese movie Choi voi directed by Bui Thac Chuyen, after harvesting several prizes at recent international film festivals, has won the Brone Taiga Prize at the eighth International Cinematography Festival of Debut Films organized in Ugra-Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District in the central part of the Russian Federation, reports the Vietnam News Agency.
The festival attracted film makers from 17 countries and screened 112 films. The judges’ panel included veteran directors, cameramen and actors from Russia, Italy, Ukraine, France and Estonia.
The movie Choi voi was highly appreciated by the judges’ panel for its interesting idea and artistic performances.
