Luna Negra played dozens of songs without a break building the energy in classic Latin American style.
Audiences were stirred by the professionalism of the band’s two singers and four instrumentalists.
The group left their home town of Matanzas for their residence at Caravelle. Their music encompasses styles such as salsa, bachata and merenegue with a new twist on the classic Cuban sound.
The music, which features prominent violin work, promises to move both Vietnamese and international audiences’ hearts and feet in equal measure.
Luna Negra’s emotive lyrics have gained fans throughout Spain, Italy, China and Venezuela.
“These are serious musicians but they know how to have fun and they’ve got a lot of live experience under their belts despite being so young,” said John Gardner, general manager of Caravelle Hotel.
They will be performing at the Caravelle everyday except Tuesdays.
