To get people up on stage, the four-star Ramana Hotel Saigon in collaboration with HCMC Cultural Center will organize its first karaoke competition.
People of all nationalities aged 18 years and above can enter.
“We feel most Vietnamese have a natural talent for singing, however, they do not have much experience in singing in public, especially at a star class hotel,” Roshan Fernando, the hotel’s general director said in a press release.
“I am sure by giving an opportunity; they will build natural talent into self-confidence to even go to greater heights.”
The first round of the competition starts at the end of September. Out of 300 candidates, 30 will be selected for the final round. The first prize is VND5 million, the second VND3 million, and the third VND2 million. The best performing style will be awarded VND2 million and the best performance in English VND2 million.
