Classical, modern gig in capital’s L’Espace

Pianist Tran Thi Tam Ngoc and percussionist Tran Xuan Hoa will present classical and modern works at the French Cultural Center, L’Espace, in Hanoi on August 18, reports VietnamPlus.
The show will start with allegretto pieces such as Noctune Op. 33, No. 2 in B major and Nocturnes Op. 33, No. 3 in A flat major by Gabriel Faure. Then, the gala will see a more animated atmosphere via happy, soaring and bright music with allegro pieces by Frederic Chopin such as Rondo No.3 in Eb Major, Op. 16 and Introduction Andante-Allegro vivace and four pieces Danzas by Alberto Ginastera.
Varia Japanese children song is the modern work featured with many dramatic features by Japanese composer Keiko Abe for Marimba. With the harmony of piano and percussion, the artists will bring the center to a festive ambiance.
Audiences will also have a chance to explore romantic works such as Virginia Tale of U.S. composer Paul Smadbeck or the piece Recuerdos de la Alhambra from Grancisco Tarrega.
Ngoc has won a number of prizes and she has been invited as a guest pianist for solo and orchestra concerts in Vietnam, Singapore and the U.S.
Hoa is currently percussionist at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Company. He is also member and co-founder of the quartet Go Group, and the Lang Du Group.
Tickets are available at L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street in Hanoi and priced at VND120,000 per person and VND60,000 per student.
