Bridge of Sound to debut in Hanoi
By Thoa Nguyen in Hanoi
A music show called The Bridge of Sound by artist Dao Anh Khanh will take place at Studio Anh Khanh, 7/462 Ngoc Thuy Street, Long Bien, Hanoi tomorrow and Thursday. This is a large-scale music program among the project Stream of 1,000 Years of the artist.
The Bridge of Sound promises to be a unique music show with diverse styles and material, proving the strong development of contemporary genres and its positive influence on the local entertainment industry. The event will feature the artist and pioneers of this kind of music in Vietnam, namely Xuan Son, Nguyen Van Cuong, Tri Minh, Ngoc Dai, Linh Dung and Thanh Lam, Vu Nhat Tan, Nguyen Hong Giang and visitors from Europe and the U.S.
Works will be performed live, usually with unplugged instruments. The music carries both classical and modern influences and allows artists to perform free-style, based on emotions and creativeness.
The event also brings audiences a musical perception via eyesight through a 500-meter bridge made of bamboo. In different shapes, it swirls above rooftops and trees, hanging in mid-air. The installation artwork will evoke musical senses of the public.
On the stage, 20 singers and 50 choreography artists, including the Big Toe hip hop troupe and Muong ethnic dancers, will interact with each other based on the music being played. While each artist retains his or her unique style, this music also enjoins them to listen and share emotions with others. Performances will amaze the public with weird materials of fabrics, flashlights, nylon and fire.
Audiences are in for an audio-visual treat with different presentation styles, stage props, flash video presentations (Phuong Vu Manh) and lighting arrangements by Ngo Hoang.
Dao Anh Khanh is very popular and much-acclaimed from the first event, Convergence of Light, which took place in October.
