Kittikorn Kunnalekha, CEO of AI Soft Co. Ltd, told the Daily that the Thai IT companies were eyeing the domestic market because of its fast growth potential.

In a related development, the Ministry of Information and Communications organized a meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday to review the Vietnam ICT industry since 2000.

According to the ministry’s report, the local ICT industry has obtained growth of 20-25% in 2000-2010. In 2009, total turnover from hardware reached up to US$4.68 million, up eight times from 2000, and revenue from software grew from US$58 million in 2000 to US$880 million in 2009.
