SHTP donates English study aids to schools

The Saigon High-Tech Park (SHTP) on Tuesday launched a program to donate equipment for English study to two elementary schools in District 9. The program launched with a donation worth VND30 million to Dinh Tien Hoang Elementary School. It included about 500 books, CDs, games and equipment for English study
This is one of SHTP’s activities under this year’s “For a developed and happy community” program, to assist education of local students.
Dinh Tien Hoang school will use the equipment to hold some activities for children, such as English story telling contests, karaoke singing in English, and English film screenings. The school will also soon complete the English training area for students.
SHTP will continue the program in August with a training course for teachers in District 9 and scholarships for needy students.
The program is sponsored by SHTP’s two large businesses - Intel Products Vietnam and CMC Technology Corp.
