The Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) has announced the educational exchange programs at universities nationwide, focusing on the sciences, engineering, mathematics, medicine, and technology.
VEF is running three programs. The Fellowship Program will send Vietnamese nationals to the U.S. for graduate degree programs, funded through cost-sharing between VEF and U.S. universities.
The Visiting Scholar Program funds Vietnamese nationals with a doctorate to further develop their professional skills via studies, research, and/or observational activities at leading the U.S. academic institutions.
The U.S. Faculty Scholar Program provides grants to U.S. professors to teach courses at Vietnamese institutions for one or two semesters; they either teach on-site in Vietnam or via interactive, real-time video conferencing from the U.S.
Every year, VEF grants 40 Fellowships to Vietnamese nationals who begin graduate studies in the U.S., but VEF grants 45 scholarships for the 2011 academic year in the fall.
For the Fellowships Program, VEF will provide an annual Fellowship grant of US$27,000 to the University for Fees etc.
