RMIT International University Vietnam (RMIT Vietnam) on Tuesday announced a series of undergraduate scholarships for Vietnamese national students to apply in 2010.
The Australian-owned school said in a statement that the scholarship package was aimed to offer more
opportunities for outstanding Vietnamese students to obtain international university education.
The full scholarships will cover the total tuition fee of an undergraduate program, which is currently worth at least VND360 million including textbooks, and may include the tuition fee for English courses at RMIT Vietnam.
The full scholarships do not include accommodation, living expenses, travel or other personal expenses.
RMIT Vietnam will award the scholarships at both Hanoi and Saigon South campuses based on candidates’ academic excellence at senior high school or university, English language competence, extra-curricular activities which demonstrate their leadership skills and other personal strengths, and recommendations from principals or responsible persons.
Applicants must write a personal statement of 600 words or less on why they should receive a scholarship to study at RMIT Vietnam and then send it in their fully completed application packages to RMIT Vietnam before 5 p.m. on May 24.
RMIT Vietnam is expected to release the selection results one month after the application deadline. The school will organize an information session at its Saigon South and Hanoi campuses at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday, February 28 to provide interested applicants with details about the scholarship program.
