HCMC – After one year of surveying the market and selling its products, German stationery producer Herlitz has named An Sinh Co. Ltd. its exclusive distributor in Vietnam.
Herlitz brings turnover of VND50 billion to An Sinh, accounting for 40% of the local company’s total turnover since April, 2009, said An Sinh general director Duong Thuy Lien on the sidelines of the press conference held at Le Van Tam Park in HCMC’s District 1 on Tuesday to introduce the partnership.
“Our plan in 2010 is to push the consumption of products for students and to introduce Vietnam-based enterprises to Herlitz office supplies,” Lien said.
An Sinh, with headquarters in Hanoi and showrooms in HCMC, is a distributor of school and office supplies and informatics technology accessories, and a partner of Samsung, IBM and Dell.
Herlitz manufactures over 15,000 articles of office and school supplies, gifts and table decoration assortments and targets the upper class in Vietnam. Silvio Pauschek, export sales director of Herlitz Group, told the Daily, “Vietnam is a fast growing market and a big potential market for a German brand, so we are optimistic to have a good future in your country.”
Herlitz-made products are available at Fahasa, Kim Dong, Nhan Van, Phuong Nam and Nguyen Van Cu bookstore chains and the Metro Cash and Carry supermarket chain. Duong My Linh, southern branch director of An Sinh, said, “In the first two years we commit to stabilize the price at bookstore chains nationwide with an aim to approach the customers.”
Founded in Berlin in 1904 and one of the leading producers of paper, office supplies and stationery in Europe, Herlitz Group has five factories and nine subsidiaries in Western and Eastern Europe and sells its items worldwide with yearly turnover of 302 million euro.
