A fun day of shopping and entertainment at the Saigon Flea Market (SFM) awaits fashionistas and families at the Boomarang Bistro Saigon, 107 Ton Dat Tien Street in HCMC’s District 7 at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

There are 50 booths, with 60 per cent of them brand new vendors offering numerous items from designer clothes for adults and children, handmade accessories, homemade food and beverages like wine, cupcake, smoothies and BBQ.
Additionally, many handmade cosmetics, household interiors, leather items, footwear, toys, a free photo-taking booth (available from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and a kid’s playground featuring a golf course and fun house are also available at the event.
“We want SFM, which was launched last year and is held once a month, to be a fun day out for the whole family, who can relax while local designers and shop owners introduce their products to friends and people can meet and exchange ideas on fashion and food,” said Moon H. Doan, the market’s founder.
“Last time the event took place on a week day at an international school in Binh Thanh District but it was a big disappointment, as our regular customers as well as expats could not make it. That’s why SFM is back to its normal location of Boomarang Bistro Saigon at the weekend to give more people the chance to join in,” she added.
The young fashion blogger and her team are also hoping to bring the SFM concept to Hanoi. Previously, Moon held some small-scale flea markets in her hometown of Hanoi before moving to Saigon. “I do hope this return will be a big hit and receive great support from both local and foreign shoppers.”
