The fifth Davines hair show entitled “Very Far, Very Near” will take place at Hanoi’s Giang Vo Fair and Exhibition Center on July 31.
Unlike events in previous years that introduced famous collections of world hair stylists, this year’s event will feature works of Vietnam’s best known hair artists - Minh Tam, Hong Phuong, Hai Linh, Tran Hung, Pham Hoang Anh, Pham Dinh Khanh Duy and Do Duy Tung.
The event, organized by Davines in collaboration with Dep magazine, is narrative about hair design combined with various fashion, dance, music, art and film shows.
The show has been inspired by the changing trends of Vietnamese women’s hair as traditional styles have given way to the contemporary.
Hairdresser Minh Tam will present future hair trends. Meanwhile, the collections of Hong Phuong and Hai Linh reveal the amazing hair styles of the 1960s. Other young hairdressers demonstrate street styles that are in vogue with youth on Wednesday.
The two hour show that tells the story of changing hair fashion in Vietnam will be directed by Le Vu Long with lighting by Dung Martin and music by Quoc Trung. It starts at 8 p.m.
