Two local models to compete at Asian contest
Vietnamese models Phan Nhu Thao and Doan Tuan will attend the seventh Asia Model Festival Awards (AMFA) in Seoul this Sunday, reports VnExpress.
Phan Nhu Thao, born in 1988 in the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau, was the fourth runner-up of the Miss Vietnam International 2011. In 2008, she was among the top five of the Vietnam Supermodel 2008 contest, and won the Promising Model and Best in Performing Style titles. Earlier, Thao entered the top ten of the Miss World Vietnamese 2007 pageant.
She was cast in some TV series as well.
Meanwhile, Doan Tuan won the prize of Impressive Model in the Supermodel 2008 contest. He is known in a couple of TV series and has joined several fashion shows in Germany, Italy, France and the U.K.
The award ceremony of the pageant will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, South Korea on January 18 with models from 16 Asian countries taking part.
The annual competition is organized by the Korea Model Association to promote exchanges between Asian models.
