Davines Hair Show 2009, with the theme ‘Tinh Thuc’ (Awake), will take place at Viet-Xo Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi this weekend with hair styling performances by professionals from Italy, Japan, South Korea and host Vietnam, and from leading brands such as Davines, Create and Number Three.
The event, organized by Creative Nature Group (CNG) in collaboration with
Dep magazine, is not simply a hair design show but a potpourri of artistic performances such as contemporary dance and body drama. The name of the event was inspired from the Buddhist text “Miracle from Awake” as Buddhism leads people to the true, the good and the beautiful, said CNG general director Nguyen Anh Tu.
The models on stage do more than just get their hair made up. They are talented dancers who have perfected the art of body expression and use their eyes to communicate precise emotions to audiences. The hair designers convey their ideas and creativity via their magic hands.
Opening the event will be an extravagant hair design show by Tran Hung, a Vietnamese hair designer who made a strong impression at Davines Hair Show 2007. His show will depict Hanoi’s struggle to preserve its character against the flows of modern life.
Cha Min-Jun of South Korea who is always on top of high-end trends, will bring viewers strong and attractive moments. Minh Tam of Vietnam will expose his nostalgia for the moment day turns into night and move hearts at the event.
Hair designers Matsumoto, Yuzo Itakura, Naomi Ikeda and Nobuyuki Ishida from Japan and Macro Zanardi of Orea Malia will also perform.
