Int’l tourism festival to celebrate anniversary of Hanoi

The Thang Long-Hanoi International Tourism Festival, the main event of National Tourism Year 2010 will take place at Bao Son Paradise Tourist Area, October 2-5, to mark the 1,000th founding anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
The festival’s focus is a domestic and foreign tourism exhibition, featuring 350 booths for international and local enterprises.
Visitors to the four day festival will see art performances, folk games, and street activities, including music shows by ethnic people, water puppet shows, ceremonial singing, Chinese chess, and cooking competitions.
The festival will also be attended by tour agents from France, Australia, China and India.
Artisans in the city will show their handicraft skills.
The organizers expect to attract about 30,000 visitors to the event.
