Businessmen in football boots to meet in futsal tournament

A futsal tournament organized by the 2030 Businesmen Club to win Pham Gia Cup will kick off next month at stadiums in HCMC.
The 2030 Businessmen Club’s Pham Gia Cup will kick off September 25 with 100 teams from HCMC, central and southeastern regions.
“This year the futsal tournament has attracted leading futsal teams in Vietnam including Hoang Thu Danang, Sana Khanh Hoa, Pham Gia Dakalk, Tra Bach Thao (Bao Loc District), An Phuoc Hospital (Binh Thuan Province), Thai Son Nam, Tam Nhat Minh, Tan Hiep Hung and Pham Gia Automobile Company,” Nguyen Thanh Phong, chairman of the 2030 Businessmen Club and head of the organizing committee, said at the press conference on Wednesday.
Twelve company teams that have competed in big tournaments like the national futsal tournament, the Asian Futsal Championship or Southeast Asia Futsal Tournament will compete in the serie A. First-timer teams will compete in Serie B.
The games will be held every Saturday and Sunday from September 25 at four stadiums including Lanh Binh Thang. Tan Binh, Rach Mieu and District 6 stadium.
According to the organizing committee, all the opening, semi-final and final-round matches of serie A will be broadcast live HTV2 of HCMC Television.
The winners of serie A and serie B will be awarded VND20 million and VND15 million respectively. In 2009 tournament attracted 108 teams.
The 2030 Businessmen Club is one of the seven clubs under the Saigon Times Club of Saigon Times Group.
